The Women Leading Change certificate is in development. This certificate will include female leaders who advocate for equality to broaden the awareness of gender issues. Notable women in government, politics, the entertainment industry, and education have been invited to participate in sharing their stories. After completing this course, students will be able to self-advocate in a personally empowering manner that also furthers shared understanding among diverse participants resulting in lasting positive change.

CORE Leadership Skills

ProCore: Effective Leadership and Communication training examines four critical areas for effective leadership and communication within the San Bernardino County Probation Department: Mindfulness, Dialogue, Collaboration, and Change. In an increasingly interconnected world, leaders who want to achieve success within their organizations need to develop the critical perspectives and collaborative skills necessary to reach across traditional barriers and communicate effectively. This 8-hour training is a sequence of four innovative courses that takes participants through a process of self-awareness and steadily evolves towards engagement with others through effective dialogue with an emphasis on the practice of communication at each level within the San Bernardino County Probation Department.
