About this Course
The Beyond Bias certificate provides skills and knowledge to understand and address implicit bias in our everyday lives. Implicit biases are automatic patterns of thinking, which can lead to discriminatory behaviors.
Why move Beyond Bias? While we all participate in implicit bias, we are capable of identifying and transforming biases to build more inclusive communities and organizations.
Become a Champion for Change: Implicit bias is not something we can eradicate, but we can become champions for change by becoming more aware of our own biases that pervade our character and identity and learn how to effectively transform such obstacles into constructive opportunities to learn more about ourselves and others.
Throughout the certificate, learners will engage in direct learning through videos and articles, be challenged to reflect on your understanding, and engage in critical exploration activities. While nothing will be submitted for a grade and there are no minimum score requirements, you will move through each module in a specific pattern, requiring you to access all items to move forward, while you can revisit any content item as many times as you wish.
